About Nagaiki

At Nagaiki Ramen, we believe that a long life is not just about the passing of years, but about the richness of each moment—much like the rings of a great tree, each layer telling a story of growth, resilience, and time well spent. "Nagaiki" (長生き) means longevity, a life lived with balance, health, and purpose.

Our brand draws inspiration from two enduring symbols of long life in Japanese culture: the crane and the pine tree. The crane, graceful and eternal, represents hope and vitality. The pine, steadfast through the seasons, stands for strength and enduring spirit. These symbols guide how we approach everything—from our ingredients to the experience we offer.

Abura Soba

Our specialty, Abura Soba, is a reflection of this philosophy—pure, unembellished, and deeply satisfying. Without broth to obscure its essence, the richness of umami oils, house-made noodles, and carefully selected toppings come together in harmony, celebrating the natural integrity of each ingredient. Like the tree, we honor the passage of time by embracing tradition while evolving with purpose.

At Nagaiki Ramen, we cherish the precious value of time—both in the care we put into our craft and in the moments shared around the table. We invite you to slow down, savor, and be present. Because longevity is not just about living longer, but living well.

The Origin

The inspiration for Nagaiki Ramen comes from Ōgimi Village in Okinawa, known as Japan’s Longevity Village. Despite a small population of just 3,500, over 80 residents are 90 years or older, living active, healthy lives. Their diet, rich in fish, tofu, seaweed, and vegetables, plays a key role in their longevity, providing essential nutrients while maintaining balance and simplicity.

Inspired by this, we crafted Nagaiki Ramen to embody the same philosophy—nourishment through wholesome ingredients. Our Abura Soba allows for a variety of fresh toppings, blending traditional ramen flavors with nutrient-dense options. By incorporating elements of Okinawan longevity, we aim to offer not just a delicious meal, but a mindful, health-conscious experience that aligns with the essence of Nagaiki—long life and well-being.
